Tom has been fronting bands for the last 23 years starting out with a Jam Tribute back in 1980's yes hard to believe! then moving though various Hair Metal Bands of the late 1980's culminating with the Band Eminenence winning a national televised battle of the bands type event (TSB Rockshool). As a result of this Eminence were signed to a major record label. As has happened on many occassions this lead to Ego's coming out of the closet and the band split before even cutting our first album. After a short break Tom worked with a South Yorkshire 4 piece Ruthless playing the northern circuit for a couple of years before the band split. After this Tom moved to the South and soon met up with Nick Thorne with whom he has played since. Tom comes from the classic rock school of the 70's and 80's after being educated from an early age by his uncle Tony Jenkins who ran the "All Right Now" mobile rock Disco in the midlands through the 70's moving the gear round in the rear of an American Ford Falcon estate at about 6 miles to the gallon and playing to large bikers groups! How times change!
Tom enjoyes interacting with the audience and therefore loves taking the David Coverdale mantle. As Tom freely admits "It is one hell of a set of boots to fill and if I even get close, I am starting to achieve something" But the role only starts with the vocal performance. DC is an entertainer and that is part of what makes Whitesnake legendry. So it is important we get the crowd on our side early on. Hopefully our opening numbers do that.
